How long ago? -15yrs at least, we spotted an ad for Jap Imports, a new thing at the time in a car magazine. It had phone "Mike", and we joked about how we could lose our money....but we phoned anyway....and so PLEASED we did!
Since then we've bought ALL our cars through him, and recommended lots of friends and family to do so as well. The only complaint I've heard was of a car that was dirty, and that bothered the buyer( but at half the car yard price, it's never bothered us).
